Community Guidelines

Secrets of Leonida only works if people can trust what they read. These guidelines keep the record honest, useful, and fun.

Be honest

• Report what you actually found. Never fabricate or edit evidence.
• Only confirm discoveries you personally saw or reproduced. “I checked and couldn’t find it” is just as valuable.
• If something was already reported, confirm it or add evidence instead of posting a duplicate.
• One person, one identity. Multiple identities used to vote or report are removed.

Share your own evidence

• Upload your own screenshots and clips. Credit others and don’t repost their captures without permission.
• No pirated, leaked, or stolen material, and no links to it.

Label spoilers

Mark anything that reveals story events. When in doubt, choose the higher spoiler level. Repeatedly mislabeled spoilers can be reported.

Respect other explorers

• No harassment, hate speech, threats, or sharing personal information.
• Disagree with evidence, not with people. Theories are welcome; attacks are not.

How verification works

A single report is never treated as fact. New reports start as Reported. When explorers respond they become Under Verification. A discovery becomes Community Verified only when it has at least 10 independent confirmations, at least 85% positive responses, and confirmations from at least 5 independent sources — and no unresolved serious reports.

Confirmations are weighted: explorers with a long history of accurate responses count for more, brand-new identities count for less, and suspicious patterns are ignored. The submitter can’t verify their own discovery. Views and popularity never decide what is true. If the community later can’t reproduce a verified discovery, it can become Disputed.

First discovery credit

The earliest legitimate report of a discovery gets permanent “First reported by” credit once it is verified. When duplicates are merged, the earliest report keeps the credit. Moderators can only change attribution with a recorded reason.

Reporting and moderation

Use Report on anything that breaks these guidelines. When enough independent, trusted explorers report the same item, it is temporarily hidden until a moderator reviews it — nothing is permanently deleted by reports alone. Moderators can restore, remove, merge, warn, suspend, or ban. Every moderation action is logged.

Consequences scale with the harm: false discoveries and spam reduce reputation and influence; serious or repeated violations lead to suspension or bans. Appeals go through the contact page.
